Future Plans

Redevelopment of our site has now begun to provide the Church with new meeting rooms, hall and well-equipped kitchen. The elderly buildings which have served the Church well for over 100 years have been demolished, only the worship area, reception hall and Church Office remain at the moment. The new building as well as providing facilities for the Church activities will also be a valuable resource for community use. Above this ground floor development will be fourteen flats on two floors. The whole is an attractive design by our architect Richard Hackett, now being overseen by Nigel Walter of Arch.Angel.
The flats will be available for rent or sale by the builder/developer Beechdale Homes Plc, and will fund the entire project. Residents of the flats will automatically belong to an environmentally friendly car club. The Church has been involved in encouraging development of car clubs in Cambridge, and this one in Romsey Town serving the Stockwell Street are will be one of the first in Cambridge.
